Kubota or John Deere?
which zero turn mower is better? Both are diesel kubota zd331 or the john deere diesel 997. And also which is a better brand for utility tractors with loaders, backhoes and anything else.
also which one I pick will be used to cut my land 6.5 acres and other people too. So which would you recommend and why?
John Deere may be an American brand name, but just like the big auto makers, the vehicle content may be up to 75% foreign made... My last john Deere garden tractor had a Kawasaki engine in it.
That being said, and assuming you are buying this mower for commercial use, I'd look at the local dealer's service department to get an idea of how you will be treated when you bring your machine in for maintenance or repair. What kind of warranty is available on the machine you want to buy, and how does the factory stand behind their warranty? Does your dealer maintain a good supply of repair parts for your machine, and how long does it take to get parts delivered if he needs to order them from another location?
It doesn't make a difference what brand name is on the side of the machine, or if it's painted green or orange... If it lives in the dealer's maintenance shop, it won't be making any money for you.
