If i cut the Stock the stereo wiring harness to my car, could it mess up the tranny and other wiring problems?
I cut the stock wiring harness under the dash in the middle console, and we are having problems with transmission shifting, and many other electrical problems... can they all be related?
I know the transmission thing sounds far-fetched, but while messing with the wires, ti can turn on or off the Overdrive dash light. so i didnt know if it could be messing with the shifting of the transmission.
You didn't say what kind of Car, but yes, it is entirely possible.Do you still have the original harness and Factory Radio ? Is there any way that you can put it back together ? The best way to find out would be to get a Haynes Manual for your Car, for about $15, from an Auto Parts Store, and go to the very back of the Book, to the wiring section, and trace it down.If you can do it yourself, you'll save a lot of money, because an Auto Electrical Shop is going to charge a bundle to come behind you on this !
