What kind of Power Steering Fluid should I use?
What kind/type of power steering fluid should I use for a 2003 Dodge Neon? The owners manual says transmission fluid. But that doesn't make sense to me. Im not a car person so it could be correct. I just wanted to see if that was right or if there were any other suggestions/answers.
The manual recommends Mopar ATF +3. But that fluid has been updated to +4. That's the fluid you should use. Trans fluid is designed to withstand high compression and high heat and that's why they want you to use it in your power steering. Do not use Dexron, it is a lower grade fluid than +4
