Are there water pumps suitable for use in water butts?
I am seeking a supplier of water pumps to be used within water butts.
The pump will require a float switch & water flow control as it is intended that a standard garden hose be fitted, allowing one to water the garden.
Standard water butts hold approx - 40 gallons. A pump would empty this amount very quickly, unless one could control the water flow to last approx - 10 minutes allowing enough time to water an average size garden before running dry!
The companies that have been contacted are either to expensive or not currently suppling.
It is understood that italy is a source but efforts to locate have so far failed.
CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE.
I think your aiming in the middle of the market.
Draper make float activated pumps but probably too large for your requirement (more suitable for emptying septic tanks).
