help for 2007 mustang choice?
i am about to turn 18 and cant wait to get my own car. right now im pretty locked onto the 2007 mustang v6 for the pony package. im just not really sure whether i should get the auto transmission or the manual (dont tell me it depends on where i drive) which one requires less maintainance for just everyday driving and on highways? what parts do i have to look out for? are they reliable at all?
i will be driving this car in around san jose and was also wondering if there are any reliable trustworthy places i could service my car.
Get the stick shift. Personally I dispise automatic transmissions. A stick shift has less repairs because there are less things that can go wrong with it. The most you would have to do would be replace the clutch. And if you are on the highway then you would not be doing much shifting. They are reliable; I have some friends with 2005s and they have had no problems. Take it from me I have a 2006 V6 with the Pony Package, and it is one great car! Don't forget though, with a stick shift you are in control of the car and it's not in control of itself. You tell it when to shift and not to shift. In this respect the car performs better. Not to mention it makes it much sportier! Don't forget with stick better fuel economy! As for where you could take the car for service; I live in New York, so I couldn't really say, but I take my car to Ford. Good luck! And trust me when you get this car people are going to look at it, and ask you questions. It's great to know that people like your car, but one the most frequently asked questions I get is "It is automatic or stick?", and just remember that you want to be able to say stick. Or at least I think so anyway
