Asphalt Paver

i am putting pavers along the sides of my asphalt driveway. Is this best done before/after the topsoil?

Laying pavers includes laying sand for beneath the pavers. You may want to put in the pavers before the topsoil to reduce the amount of work in having to remove unwanted topsoil from where your pavers will be. Ideally you will want the pavers to be at the same level as the driveway to reduce tripping hazards. Now, if you want to raise the pavers a little above the driveway for visual effects you can lay the topsoil first but be sure the topsoil has settled before you begin laying the pavers. Don't forget the sand for a sturdy foundation.
