Questions on Electrical concepts?
Ive heard of transformers steping up AC voltage but lowering amps, yet maintaining a constant watt. What i never understood is what is watt. amperes and voltage? PLease explain in the terms you would explain to a SECOND GRADER as simple as possible.
Also what is static electricity, SIMPLE, but dont give me rub balloon/wool crap.?
What is differenc between satic electricity and DC current?SIMPLE
Can static be changed to to DC? through what electrical component?
Ive thought of electrostatic motor combined with DC generator,but obviously that is highly inefficient so theres bound to me something that is a converter?
Im not looking for watts=voltage x current
I already know that.
What im really looking for are SIMPLE
answers to:
-What is voltage
-What is current
This an analogy that seems to work well.
Voltage is like the water pressure in a garden hose.
It is the PUSH that moves the water/ electricity.
Current is the same as amperage.
It is the volume of water or amount of water/ electricity
that is being moved.
A fire hydrant has a higher pressure, hence more push.
It also has a bigger hose size, hence more volume/ current
