What is dual tandem main landing gear?
"Dual tandem" means that each main landing gear has four wheels. Two pairs one in front of the other. Look at the main gear on the A330 in the picture linked below and you will have an idea of what it looks like.
Adding more wheels spreads the aircraft weight out over a larger surface area.
