Do I have to shift manually during an SMG launch on an E46?
I have all the details for launch mode but one. After placing the SMG in S6 mode, holding the left paddle (or shift lever forward), flooring the throttle, then releasing the paddle, will I need to shift through the gears, or will the RPM limiter shift for me?
all the RPM limiters I have heard of do one of two things (or both) 1 they electronically disengage the throttle or 2 open up the valves like an engine brake on a tractor trailor and cause the engine to bog/slow. I know NASCAR uses the valve ones if they are installed on that engine and they can produce massive damage if the limiter is constanlty engaging.
