Do you hate Bush? If so why?
I hear people being so negative about Bush. I didn't care for him as a President but many liberals say they want him dead, want to impeach him, call him satan, etc.
I don't think he was a great President but he did mroe for Africa than any other administration, he has kept this country safe since 911, and from things I've read even from journalists who don't like him they say he always allowed everyone at an event to take a picture with im and get an autograph if they wanted and they say he treated the elevator operator or maintenance guy the just as good as he did an important high ranking foreign visitor. I think he's a pretty good guy and got a bad rap.
I have seen that too. I think most of that is from very young and uninformed minded people. If you were a hard working, tax paying American in the past 8 years, you would know that we all SCREAMED FOR BLOOD after 9/11 and backed the war. So did Congress and the House for the full 8 years. Mr. Bush has faced more obstacles then any other president in history. 9/11, 10 Major hurricanes since 2001, 7 major Tornado outbreaks since 2001, major floods in the midwest to name just a few. American has been tested and tested. We have all come thru. He has kept us safe since 9/11. The war in Iraq was something we all backed and this something that you cannot just drop and walk away from. We are still going to be in Afghanistan. The war is just going to change Locale. I think he did a great job. If he was to bad, why was he re elected in 2004? Because his approval rating was 71% that's is why. He has had to make some very tough decisions. One's that I do not think that I could have made a better choice at. It is very easy to be a ARMCHAIR PRESIDENT. All these people every scream about is the WAR. We are there get over it. My brother thought that we were there for the right reason. Our financial problems were brought on by BAD LENDING POLICIES, BAD LEGISLATION FROM PRIOR PRESIDENCIES, AND JUST PLAIN PEOPLE NOT LIVING WITH IN THEIR MEANS. IF YOU ONLY MAKE 40,000 YEARLY, YOU DO NOT TAKE OUT A LOAN FOR A $300,000 HOME. None of that was Bush's fault. But he is the President and unfortunately it all falls in his lap. I pray that Obama will be able to make good on his promises. If he does not what Bush is going through now will pale in comparison of how he will be "Crucified" by the press and all those who put so much into getting him elected and voting for him. I like him as a President and as a Person. Bravo to Mr Bush.
You may not like his policies, but he has always been a GENTLEMAN. He has never spoke ill of anyone that has attacked. Laura Bush has been, in my opinion, one of the best First Lady's that we have had. Laura Bush is involved in topics of both national and global concern. She has continued to advance her trademark interests of education and literacy by establishing the annual National Book Festival in 2001 and encouraging education on a worldwide scale. She has also advanced the causes of women through The Heart Truth and Susan G. Komen for the Cure. She serves as a representative of the United States during her trips abroad, which tend to focus on HIV/AIDS and malaria awareness. She has been full of Grace and Integrity and has represented this Country well.
