how exactly the automatic transmission gear in the automatic car work.?
I am baffled at times when some one says there are gears in the D and they work exectly like we use the four five gears I undreatnd R reaversse D1 heavy N neutral, P parking but when we are driving on D and he tells me five driveare there inside.
Not entirely sure what you're asking, but I'll have a go. If someone is talking about a 5-speed automatic, that means that when it's in D (for Drive) the gearbox decides for itself which of its five ratios to use, rather than you deciding as you would with a manual.
If you have 1 and 2 or D1 and D2, those selections restrict the gearbox from changing all the way up. You can view it as D1 keeping the 'box in 1st, D2 keeping in first or second - useful when you want quick response, or for engine braking on a steep hill.
