I was just wondering cause me and my friends are throwing a party this weekend and we want to pay a few prostitutes to be there and walk around with no top on. haha its not like we want sex from them or anything. we just lookin for the good time. +it will piss my gf off cause shes been a real meanie lately.

Its not illegal to pick up a prostitute. You can go around giving prostitutes rides in your car all day long. It is illegal to solicit someone to have sex or commit a lewd act for money.
So, if you pull up to a prostitute and say "I don't want to have sex with you or participate in any lewd act, we just want you to dance topless for $40," that's legal (in Calif.).
Now if you say, "I want you to dance topless and we'll touch your breasts for $40" that's illegal (in Calif) because that's a lewd act, according to the law.
Here's the reality: If its your unlucky day and you get pulled over with a known prostitute, even if you're honest about just taking her to dance, you may still end up with a ticket or getting arrested. Or if the "prostitute" happens to be an officer.
Which is the next point. You almost certainly won't be sentenced to jail for solicitation if you have a clean record. You might be arrested on the spot and booked but you'd probably get a summons. The most likely outcome is fine and probation, assuming you were found guilty. In this case, if a judge hears and believes the facts, you wouldn't be.
