Ride on Tractor Mower smokes when I start it?
it is a murray and is about 6 years old. been reliable so far but lately, if left to sit a few day, when I go to start it...
1) It takes about 5-10 seconds with the key turned for it to actually start...and
2) when it does start billows of dark smoke pour out of the muffler for about 5 seconds, then it runs fine. WHY?
age, if the smoke is white then its just oil in the cyl area,
change the oil use SAE-30 wt not a 10-w 30 or 10-etc
its too thin
other wise it is fine [starting & running ]
10 sec to start is ok also replace the plug they do burn out
